Using sophisticated data analysis from Google Keyword Planner, researchers examined over 105 sex-related keywords to map out which states are most adventurous in their intimate pursuits. The results are both eye-opening and unexpected, challenging stereotypes about sexual openness and revealing that curiosity knows no geographic boundaries.

#1 Washington: The Kinkiest State

Washington takes the top spot as the kinkiest state in America, with 599 searches per 100,000 people. This means one in 167 Washingtonians is exploring ways to heat up their Valentine’s Day. The most popular toys include Fleshlights (12,120 searches), rose toys (8,100 searches), and butt plugs (5,410 searches). The Evergreen State is proving it’s anything but shy!

#2 Nevada: Second Place

Coming in second is Nevada, with 596 searches per 100,000 residents. Known for its vibrant nightlife and open-minded atmosphere, it’s no surprise that Nevadans are fans of Fleshlights, rose toys, and butt plugs. With 18,510 total monthly searches, one in 168 residents is preparing for a memorable Valentine’s night.

#3 North Carolina: A Kinky Surprise

North Carolina ranks third, with 586 searches per 100,000 people. Rose toys top the list of favorites, with 14,810 monthly searches, followed by Fleshlights (12,100 searches) and butt plugs (8,110 searches). It seems North Carolinians are embracing a bolder side this Valentine’s Day.

Tied for #4: Texas, Bigger, Bolder Love & Georgia, Southern Charm and Kinks

Texas ties for fourth place with Georgia, with 580 searches per 100,000 people. Texans take things seriously, clocking in 169,520 total searches. Rose toys lead the pack (40,510 searches), followed by Fleshlights (33,140 searches) and butt plugs (22,210 searches). Everything’s bigger in Texas—including their intimate preferences.

Georgia shares the fourth spot with Texas, with 580 searches per 100,000 residents. Georgians love rose toys, which garnered 14,810 searches, followed by Fleshlights (12,110 searches) and butt plugs (8,110 searches). Valentine’s Day in Georgia is shaping up to be anything but traditional.

#5 Colorado: Rocky Mountain Romance

Colorado ranks fifth, with 574 searches per 100,000 people. Fleshlights are particularly popular, with 8,110 monthly searches, followed by rose toys (5,410 searches) and butt plugs (4,410 searches). The Centennial State is embracing adventurous vibes for Valentine’s Day.

California, often seen as progressive, ranks ninth with 541 searches per 100,000 residents. However, with 212,810 total searches, Californians clearly love exploring new ways to have fun. Fleshlights and rose toys tie as favorites, with 49,510 searches each, followed by butt plugs (27,110 searches).

#10 New York: Wrapping Up the Top 10

New York finishes the list, with 539 searches per 100,000 residents. The state tallied 107,770 total monthly searches. Fleshlights and rose toys tied for the top spot, with 22,210 searches each, followed by butt plugs (14,800 searches) and sex swings (6,600 searches)
